About the event

In this workshop, participants will explore the rich visual language of the Mafrouka, an intricate star pattern common in old Islamic Cairo, through geometric drawing and painting. Participants will experiment with a variety of Mafrouka designs and select one to develop further, rendering it in a wood-inspired color palette on paper.

Language: English and Arabic

What will you learn?
Participants will learn to build geometric systems, create balanced compositions using pathways, and apply a wood-inspired palette in light and dark tones.

Who is it for?
This workshop is for artists, designers, and anyone interested in geometric patterns. It is open to all skill levels.
