Encounters at the Table: With Raya Kassisieh

In this encounter, participants will have a chance to engage with artist Raya Kassisieh, whose work "Heavy Petals" is exhibited at the Biennale.

Thinking through the themes of memory, mourning and resilience in this work, the artist will recreate the simple dishes once prepared by her late grandmother, consisting of Alaay, Lubbai and Muttabal. Participants will have the opportunity to explore these moments of nostalgia with the artist, sharing tales and stories of foods that feel like home.
