About the event
This panel explores the enduring appeal of the book as a space for making, thinking, and sharing art. Even for artists whose work isn’t rooted in print, the book offers a flat yet generative surface, inviting sequencing, layering, intimacy, and experimentation. From self-published zines to sculptural editions, artist books challenge traditional formats and open new ways for art to circulate, and reach audiences. The discussion reflects on what draws artists to this form and the creative possibilities it continues to offer.
