Zero waste Cooking: Ways of the Watermelon

About the event

This program explores the concept of zero-waste cooking by utilizing every part of the watermelon, from pulp, to seed, to skin. Participants will learn creative methods to transform each part of the fruit into delicious and sustainable dishes, including a refreshing watermelon salad, vegan tuna, savory snacks made from toasted seeds, and pickled treats from the skin.

By the end of the session, you'll be equipped with new skills to make a variety of mouthwatering dishes, all while reducing food waste and maximizing flavor.

Participants will learn zero-waste cooking techniques by transforming the entire watermelon into new, delicious creations, including salads, juices, snacks, and pickled treats.
