This talk will focus on the rich historic connection between Islam and Japanese culture and tradition. Furthermore, Dr. Yamamoto will convey the role of ‘iḥsan’ within the Islamic tradition in reviving and renewing traditional Japanese cultural practices and ethics.
During the talk, Dr. Yamamoto will showcase scrolls and artifacts. Following the talk and Q&A, he will perform the Japanese tea ceremony.
