Bioplastic Creations

Sabrina Merayo Nuñez is an Argentine interdisciplinary artist based in New York City. Her work explores the intersection of bio-art, material research, and collectible design, with a focus on organic materials and their transformative properties.

She develops 100% biodegradable bioplastics inspired by historical recipes for varnishes and paints, creating her own formulas through experimentation. These materials include rigid and flexible bioplastics, as well as foams, balancing structure and fluidity.

Guided by a philosophy of co-creating with nature, Nuñez embraces chance and natural processes—such as temperature, humidity, and airflow—as active collaborators in her work. Her practice invites a dialogue between human intention and organic evolution.
