About the event

This program explores food waste in Ramadan, sharing local statistics and practical solutions to reduce it. Inspired by sustainability advocate and plant-based chef Ola Kayal, we’ll introduce the 7R’s of sustainability, discuss food waste reduction in Islam, and examine how consumption habits have evolved over the years. The session will include a demonstration and application of frequently wasted foods and innovative ways to repurpose them—highlighting zero-waste cooking techniques. 

What will you learn?
Participants will learn zero waste cooking techniques to turn leftovers into new, delicious creations.
