Impressions for a Feast

In this interactive activation, participants will explore the richness of Jeddah’s culinary heritage through a traditional technique of block printing. Using pre-carved wooden blocks designed by the artist Khulood Hussain, participants will print motifs inspired by local ingredients, seaside landscapes, and aromatic flora onto a collective 16-meter table runner.

Over three evenings, participants can join and engage with a vibrant palette of 15 colors, contributing to a shared fabric artwork. The completed table runner will be used in TURUQ’s closing feast, weaving each participant’s impression into a communal expression of memory, flavor, and form.

What will you learn?
