Saturday Sketching with Rana AlSaggaf

Saturday Sketching offers a weekly opportunity to learn a sketching technique in the style of a renowned artist, illustrator, or designer.

In this sessions, participants will take part in a tour of AlMidhallah, exploring the artworks on display. The theme of the session draws from the venue’s significance as a pilgrimage gateway. After the tour, participants will create sketches based on their chosen artwork and add imaginary pilgrims, invoking the journey from the airport to Makkah. In superposing the venue's past with its present, the session aims to reflect on the idea of movement, transition, and pilgrimage in an artistic way. 

Open to all skill levels, these guided sessions encourage observation, and creative interpretation, while fostering a connection with the pieces showcased.

Materials are provided, ensuring accessibility for everyone to immerse themselves in this artistic practice.
