Dr. Abdulrahman Azzam, historian, author and Artistic Director of AlMadar, brings his deep knowledge of Islamic history and curatorial insight to this conversation on Saladin, his acclaimed book exploring the life and legacy of one of the most revered figures of the Islamic world.

Fascinated by the idea of the seminal Islamic hero, a role no one embodies more fully than Saladin, Dr. Azzam unpacks how myth, memory and leadership intersect in shaping historical icons. The talk will also weave connections with other figures featured in AlMadar, opening up a broader reflection on heroism across cultural and historical narratives.
