Open Book: Foreign Monastery

Artist Madina presents "A Foreign Monastery", a photo book capturing life in the Caucasus and exploring how ancestral experiences manifest and influence present-day behaviors. Through photography and storytelling, it examines generational grief and the erosion of cultural identities shaped by historic tragedies, including the conquest of the Caucasus, the 1943 deportation and post-Soviet turmoil.
