Whether the sci-fi community in the 1930’s, the punks in the 1970’s, or fringe online communities in the modern day - zines in whatever form they come help share news, thoughts and cultivate culture.
This workshop will briefly explore the rich history of zines and how they help form, shape and sustain subcultures. Participants will then become familiar with the way these zines were made and shared before finally creating their very own 8-fold zines.
