Publisher's Roundtable: Where to Begin?

He is the Founder of SWALIF, a Contemporary Art and Literature project-based collective and publisher, as well as the Co-Founder of MamarLab, an Arts and Urbanism research space in Abu Dhabi. Salem regularly curates group exhibitions and public programming across the GCC, motivated by varying degrees of socio-cultural critique, as well as a constant pursuit of ideological reimaginations.

SWALIF is an art and literature project-based collective and independent book publisher in Abu Dhabi working to provide Youth in the MENA an opportunity to propose, produce, and propel their work into actualized projects. SWALIF Collective intends to become a leading platform where aspiring and emerging writers and artists come to showcase their work. At the core of our collective are ideas of communication and engagement, as well as critical and cultural development.

Khunfus Publishing is a publishing house based in Jeddah,
Saudi Arabia. We produce print books that bend
form and genre through rich storytelling, bold
aesthetics, and exquisite craftsmanship.

Outside of Khunfus, Haya is a Marketing Manager (Content) at Red Sea Global. Haya holds a BA in Visual Communications from Dar Al Hekma University and an MA in Arts and Cultural Management from King's College London.
