About the event
In this workshop, participants will explore portrait photography, examining how portraits reflect identity, memory, and power across historical and cultural contexts. They will receive a technical introduction to medium and large-format photography, including film loading, focusing, and exposure. Working in pairs, participants will create portraits that express personal narratives, then move into the darkroom to develop their own film under expert guidance. The session concludes with a reflection on their creative process and details on scanning and receiving their final portraits.
