About the event
In this talk, Ibrahim will discuss contemporary Yemeni art practices, focusing on the work of artists and cultural practitioners continuing to create amid conflict. Drawing from his 15-year career as a visual artist, cultural practitioner, and publisher, Ibrahim will highlight the importance of providing Yemeni artists with a platform to share their work and stories.
Between 2018 and 2020, Ibrahim operated the Romooz Foundation, supporting emerging talent in visual arts and literature, and founded Arsheef Gallery, one of the first commercial art spaces in Yemen.
