MADE. to Last

About the event

This talk brings together designers, researchers, and makers whose practices navigate the space between heritage and innovation. It explores how tradition can serve not as a constraint, but as a foundation for experimentation, where continuity and change are not opposites, but part of the same design arc.

The conversation will consider what it means to design with longevity in mind, whether through material resilience, cultural relevance, or emotional durability, and how honoring the past can open new futures. MADE. to Last is an invitation to rethink innovation not as rupture, but as an ongoing, dynamic relationship with the traditions that shape us.

Language: English

What will you learn?
Participants will explore how tradition and innovation can coexist in design and making practices. The talk will highlight ways in which ancestral knowledge, craft techniques, and cultural heritage can be reimagined to meet social, cultural, and environmental needs.

Who is it for?
This is for designers, makers, researchers, cultural workers, and anyone interested in heritage, innovation, and the evolving role of tradition in contemporary creative practice
