This 30-minute interactive session, available on a first-come, first-served basis, showcases the intricate process of producing the Kiswah of the Holy Ka’bah. Participants will explore the steps of printing, sewing, gilding, and perfuming the Kiswah, as well as the tools and techniques used to clean the Holy Ka’bah. In addition, this interactive session will feature typography created by a calligrapher from the Holy Two Mosques. The session includes a live loom demonstration of fabric-making and offers a captivating look into the history of the Kiswah, from its early production in 1927 to the advanced methods used today. Additionally, two films related to Kiswah-making will be shown, further enriching the experience.
