If Your Bait Can Sing The Wild One Will Come

About the event

The workshop is inspired by Migrant Ecologies Projects’ film, if your bait can sing the wild one will come, Like Shadows Through Leaves, on view in the exhibition. The workshop is led by Lucy Davis, the founder of Migrant Ecologies Project—a collective engaged with art and ecology within and beyond Southeast Asia, and Abdullah Alsuhaibany, ornithologist and founder of the Birds Protection Society in Saudi Arabia. The workshop will take place at Alzahrani Farm in Diriyah and participants will engage in practices of deep listening and embodied experiences of the farm. This includes practicing an attentiveness to bird ecologies and guided artistic experiments with calls, echoes, and shadows.

The workshop will be followed by a special screening of Migrant Ecologies Projects’ film introduced by Lucy Davis.
