About the event
In this workshop, participants will be introduced to the traditional technique of carving gypsum, a craft deeply rooted in Islamic architectural and artistic heritage. Using pre-prepared gypsum molds and a selection of intricate, each participant will learn how to carefully carve patterns into the material.
Guided throughout the process by expert Nada Shawli, they will explore the rhythm and precision of this delicate craft, and complete the session with their own carved piece, framed and ready to take home as a lasting expression of their work.
