About the event
Inspired by the artwork Melon Mahallah by Slavs and Tatars, exhibited in AlMidhallah, this hands-on workshop invites children to create glowing paper-mâché lanterns shaped by the forms and textures of melons.
As they mold, paint, and illuminate their lanterns, children will explore how art can symbolize togetherness, warmth, and joy. The melon becomes more than a fruit, it transforms into a glowing symbol of community and connection.
