This masterclass is led by Wael Morcos, one of the Graphic Designers responsible for the posters of the Islamic Arts Biennale 2025. This four-day masterclass invites participants to explore the Islamic Arts Biennale galleries and choose an object that resonates with them. Through guided exercises, they’ll learn the basics of composition, visual hierarchy, and Arabic lettering, and experiment with techniques like collage, photography, and illustration to create expressive, culturally rooted posters.
The workshop ends with a printed poster exhibition in the Public Programs Building, transforming it into a gallery of poster designs inspired by the Biennale.
Participants are required to bring their own laptops with an active Adobe Creative Cloud subscription (including access to Illustrator and other graphic design software).
