In this workshop, participants will explore the power of archiving as a tool for memory, identity, and legacy. Learning how to preserve their creative practice in ways that are both personal and culturally significant. The session will begin with an introduction to what an archive is and why it matters, touching on the relationship between memory, history, and artistic documentation.

Participants will bring materials from their practice and learn how to organize, store, and protect them using archival methods. Together, they will build their own personal archival boxes, understanding how physical preservation plays a role in maintaining their work. The workshop will then shift to digitization, where participants will scan, catalog, and create digital records of their materials.

Requirements:

Participants should bring archival materials from their practice, including any physical objects, artworks, sketches, notes, or other items they wish to archive. They should also bring a USB drive to store their digitized materials for future use.

Language: English
