Dye Book

In this workshop, you'll co-create a "dye encyclopedia" with your fellow participants, working together to carefully extract and refine pigments from Riyadh's native flora. Using fibers found across Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, you'll rediscover the abundance of textile resources and tap into ancestral weaving secrets.

Participants will have a wide variety of fibers, materials, waste materials to create woven tapestries and explore the colors, textures, and shapes they are individually inspired by. The final result is a book containing each participant's unique dye, a reflection of both the subjective and collective practice of coloring.
