Can a little piece of charcoal tell the story of the tree it was?

About the event
The artist uses storytelling as a way to turn the site of his outdoor installation The whispers of today are heard in the garden of tomorrow (2024) into a participatory performance that engages audiences in the act of writing and drawing. The charcoal of burned trees is used to draw new ones; facts are mixed with mythologies, the act of fishing, and the future of this species. This experience also links to the deep time of fossils and the ideas of cultivation embedded in every palm plantation.
