In this workshop, you'll learn the implosion technique: a foundational method for embedding a pattern inside of glass.
Who is this for: Adults
What you will gain: In this workshop, participants will:
- Learn to manipulate glass rod in the flame
- Shape glass with the use of graphite
- Apply color to clear glass
- Implode the design within a clear glass marble.
Our experts will unveil the mystery behind how your favorite patterned glass pieces are made - and teach you to make some of your own!
Notes
Safety Guidelines: Dress Conveniently: Cotton clothes are the way to go since they’re less flammable. Steer clear of synthetic abayas and thawbs. Please ensure your clothing fits snugly, especially with long sleeves, to minimize risks and ensure your safety. Aprons Provided: You will be provided with an apron that must be worn at all times in the studio to protect your clothing. Jewelry and Watches: Please remove any dangling jewelry and bulky watches to prevent accidents during the workshop. Hair Safety: If you have long hair, we ask that you tie it back securely. Footwear: Closed, covered shoes are a must – no flip flops or sandals allowed. Avoid Perfume: Please refrain from wearing perfume during the workshop as it is flammable.
