Program Dates:
Introductory Meeting: Sat, February 15, 2025, 4:00 pm –5:00 pm
Discussion Meeting: Thurs, March 6, 2025, 10:30pm –12:30 am
In the Introductory Meeting, participants will have the opportunity to purchase the book Al-Tanturiya by Radwa Ashour, and to meet the Moderator and the other participants.
This session will introduce the idea of the novel, which explores the Palestinian experience through the eyes of its protagonist, Ruqayya.
In the second Meeting, an open discussion will take place about the novel’s impact, themes, and narrative elements. Participants will also compare Al-Tanturiya to the artwork “Cut Flowers” by Ala Younis, drawing connections between the two works and their storytelling approaches.
