AlMadar Tour: The King's Foundation School of Traditional Arts

In this tour, Hanan Bucklain, Teaching Assistant at the King’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts, offers a unique opportunity to delve deeper into the "Roshan" window displayed in AlMadar.
 
The design and construction of this "Roshan" was undertaken by local students from Jeddah participating in the Building Arts and Crafts Diploma program. Their process included extensive study of historic "Roshans" in Jeddah’s Al-Balad district, focusing on traditional construction methods and design principles to inform their modern interpretation.

The tour will begin by gathering participants in the Public Programs building before proceeding to the galleries.
