Who is this for: All ages welcome!

What you will gain: Join our JAX tours and get a taste of life in Riyadh's up-and-coming artist district. A hub for makers, designers, musicians, painters, and creatives (allow us to shamelessly use that word) of all kinds, each tour will be led by a different artist who calls JAX home.

This tour takes us to the renowned ATHR gallery, a crucial space for local and regional artists. You'll get a tour of JAX from their perspective, including an inside look at their new JAX space and current exhibition "The Ground Day Breaks", a solo by Muhanned Shono, featuring incredible manipulations of one of Saudi's most abundant and underused materials: sand.

These tours are informal and distinctly personal, so we recommend channeling your inner busy artist, grabbing a coffee, and sipping it pensively as you wander through this bustling cityscape.

Presented By

ATHR Gallery

Since its inception in Jeddah in 2009, ATHR Gallery has played a pivotal role in building the Contemporary art scene in Saudi; valuing experimentation and the exploration of new ideas, disseminating the artists’ role in the creative process and the impact they can have on societies.

As a relentless supporter of young as well as established artists from Saudi Arabia and the Arab region, ATHR has been providing a number of opportunities for furthering knowledge and experience within its multidisciplinary space in Jeddah and beyond, such as international residencies, special commissions, international group exhibitions, symposia, funding and more.

Founded by Hamza Serafi and Mohammed Hafiz, whose passion and network allow ATHR to have a deeply engaged discourse in the local art scene, they have taken on the initiative of filling the absence of public art institutions, museums and art schools to establish a sustainable art scene open to the world all while having an international presence.

Today: ATHR has three main locations in Jeddah, AlUla, and Riyadh. Our sister company: the ATHR Foundation, dedicated to nonprofit art enrichment is active in Diriyah, AlBalad in Jeddah, and in AlUla.
