Experimental Type Design
Step into the world of type design with this 3-day masterclass inspired by the Biennale's theme of "After Rain". We invite you to select an artwork or artist from the show and use it as a springboard to create your own alphabet. From concept to digital font, you'll embark on a creative journey that merges art with typography.
The course begins with the essentials of letter design—proportions, contrast, and weight—encouraging you to craft letters in either Latin or Arabic with a fresh perspective. You’ll also learn to digitize your creations and use the software Glyphs to transform your ideas into a functional font file.
