Guided Tour of After Rain by the Curatorial Team

During the last weekend of the Biennale, the curatorial team offers insights into the works by participating artists and the process of creating DCAB 2024. While walking together through the six exhibition halls and adjacent terraces and courtyards, the curators highlight how some artists address cultural histories, the use of natural resources, and various approaches to materials in their practices, for example through the use of smell, earth, and edible and medicinal plants, while others deal with urban transformations and issues such as the access to water, food, and shelter. This look at the exhibition also focuses on the different means of expression used by artists, from drawings, to paintings, sculptures, installations and photography as well as time-based media practices such as performance and film.
