Who is this for: Children aged 6-12

What you will gain: Tailored for imaginative young minds, this workshop focuses on refining language skills through the captivating world of puppetry. From the classic charm of "The Lion and the Mouse" to the culturally significant tale of "Hay bin Yagdan," each puppet show offers an opportunity for children to tell a tale using their imagination with their own words.

Kan Yama Kan

Dr. Wafaa Al Subayil is the founder of the Kan Yama Kan Children's Library and she founded the Children's Book Club at King Abdulaziz Public Library. She is an author, critic, translator, and activist in the field of childhood. She has won a number of awards, including the Arab Women’s Creativity Award in Children’s Literature for the story Ammona’s Tales. Dr. Wafaa holds a bachelor’s degree in Oriental Arts and Languages and Middle Eastern Studies from the United States of America, and completed her Master’s and PhD in Arabic Literature/Children’s Literature and Comparative Literature from Al Imam University in Riyadh.

She held several positions throughout the years,she was a member of the Council of Family Affairs. She is still a member of a number of cultural institutions and has participated in many events inside and outside the Kingdom.

As a mother and grandmother to four grandchildren, family is one of her dearest values.
