Set in Kenya, this film follows ten-year-old Aisha’s dream: to go to Europe and become an actress. Her plan is to find a job on a fishing boat so that she can sail all the way to Europe, but her mother thinks that fishing should be left to men. Aisha doesn’t agree – and when she meets Hassan, a fisherman who promises to teach her his ways, she seizes her opportunity.

Important note: The film will be followed by a Q&A session with the director Damien Hauser.

The film is shown in Swahili, with Arabic and English subtitles.
