Cinema Nights: After The Long Rains
Set in Kenya, this film follows ten-year-old Aisha’s dream: to go to Europe and become an actress. Her plan is to find a job on a fishing boat so that she can sail all the way to Europe, but her mother thinks that fishing should be left to men. Aisha doesn’t agree – and when she meets Hassan, a fisherman who promises to teach her his ways, she seizes her opportunity.

Director’s Bio:
Damien Hauser
Damien Hauser is a Filmmaker based in Switzerland. He began producing short films by the age of seven. He later studied film and worked for a commercial production company. He created several short films with the help of friends and took on various projects such as music videos, plays and commercials.
